Our Social Responsibility

A structured Social and Environmental Responsibility approach

Set up a structured social and environmental responsibility (SER) policy

The LFB Group would like to deploy a more ambitious approach, with responsibilities clearly identified and detailed.  This approach, which is based on a process of continuous improvement, should enable the Group to face new risks while creating value.

In order to achieve this, LFB began to structure the process in 2010, with the creation of two committees:

  • The ethics group
  • The Social and Environmental responsibility Committee (SER committee)

The SER committee is composed of seven members and a chair, all of whom hold key positions and have leverage with regard to SER issues for the LFB Group.  This body reports directly to the CEO. Within the general structure that has been provided and which echoes the demands of sustainable development, it defines the projects to be implemented in order to meet present and future obligations and to fulfil the management's commitments.

These commitments include the deployment of a responsible purchasing policy and the reduction of LFB's carbon footprint.

As liaisons within the company, the sponsors who make up the SER committee manage all the different sites to ensure consistency between the proposals and the required resources in relation to the issues: environmental protection, security challenges, but also employee awareness of these questions.
