Our Environmental approach

Environmental protection, health and safety are subject to specific monitoring by LFB teams.

 The expanding activity of the LFB Group necessarily generates an increase in consumption and resources and thus impacts the environment. In addition to risk management, the group's efforts are focused on limiting consumption and pollution. Improving outcomes requires, among other things, the introduction of more energy efficient equipment or controllers. Energy audits conducted on the Ulis and Lille sites have identified sources of progress and led to concrete actions being implemented.

Water consumption has decreased substantially, as have the quantities of suspended solids (SS). Equipment investments include environmental protection criteria in order to reduce potential pollution. 

Finally, efforts have been made to further improve the waste management (monitoring reused and recycled waste, reclaimed solvents, etc.) and, in parallel, reduce the amount of waste going to landfill. Raising employee awareness of these issues in more specific areas such as management of printer toners, collection of used batteries, sorting papers in offices, etc. are an integral part of the company's social responsibility approach.
