The support that LFB provides to organizations is based on two major areas:

• Acting to improve the lives of patients and
• Supporting key stakeholders to improve knowledge about rare diseases.

Long-term partnerships have been developed, notably with the "Rire Médecin" and the "Culture in hospital" programs, to help improve long hospital stays, especially for young patients. Rare diseases are a public health challenge, which require increased publicity and awareness.

In 2011, LFB Group funded projects and/or gave donations/grants to the following patient groups:

• ADAAT (Association for alpha-1 antitrypsin deficient patients)
• AFH (French Association of Haemophilia patients)
• AMR (Alliance of Rare Diseases)
• EURORDIS (Rare Disease Patients in Europe).
• IRIS (Association of patients with primary immunodeficiency (PID)
• WFH (World Federation of Hemophilia)
• IPOPI (International Patient Organisation for Primary Immunodeficiencies)
