The Responsible Purchasing Charter
"10 commitments for responsible purchasing"
The LFB Group signed a responsible purchasing charter on 14th December 2010. Called "10 commitments for responsible purchasing", the Charter intends to mark the commitment of the signatories to respect the purchasing practices, especially towards SMEs. It is therefore applicable to all suppliers, with regard to respecting payment dates, managing order forecasts, integration of environmental issues, calculations based on the full cost and managing the risks of mutual dependency in the customer/supplier relationship, among others.
The charter provides for the establishment of monitoring indicators in each signatory company and the appointment of an internal mediator who may be called upon by suppliers in the event of conflict or dispute. The Audit and Risks Director was designated as the LFB Group's internal mediator. To date, 128 companies (including almost the entire CAC 40) have signed the charter, for a purchase amount of 360 billion euros.
