An answer to the question of treatment accessibility
The use of transgenic technology, thanks to a very high yield of milk production in mammals, reduces the production costs of recombinant human proteins. This technology offers the possibility, especially for biosimilars, of expanding accessibility in order to meet therapeutic needs that are not covered.

Recombinant human antithrombin
In 2010, LFB recovered the rights to market its first product created by transgenesis via its subsidiary GTC Biotherapeutics Inc., a recombinant human antithrombin. This first transgenic drug received its MA in Europe, issued by the BMA, and the United States, where it is already sold.
